Operation Christmas Child: Help Us Pack a Shoebox!

We are excited to partner with Samaritan’s Purse in packing shoeboxes for children in need through Operation Christmas Child.

This is a wonderful hands-on way to share God’s love by filling shoeboxes with personal care items, school supplies, clothing & accessories, crafts & activities, and toys. Each shoebox becomes an opportunity for children around the world to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1993, more than 232 million children in over 100 countries have received shoebox gifts—often their very first gift ever.

Last year, New Zealand and Australia sent over 211,000 shoeboxes to Cambodia, the Philippines, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and Ukraine. Globally, more than 11.9 million shoeboxes were distributed.

How You Can Get Involved: You can be part of this mission by donating items for our shoeboxes. For the next few months, we will be collecting donations here at the church.

To help us track what we have and ensure a good variety of gifts, we have a sign-up list where you can indicate which items you will be donating. You can find this physical list at the back of the church on the notice board, or you can sign up online via the link below.

A Quick Reminder on Items:

• Great things to bring: School supplies (pencils, notebooks), clothing (t-shirts, socks, caps), toys (balls, soft toys), and hygiene items (toothbrushes, bars of soap, washcloths).

• Please avoid: Toothpaste, liquids/lotions, food/lollies, or scary/war-related toys, as these cannot be sent due to customs and shipping regulations.
